  • Had a great weekend with Dan at West Windsor. It was raining all day friday but it wasn't bad. We had a decent fire going and the pop ups to hide under when it got too icky to stay out. I ended up going to be early (around 11:30 or so) and couldn't have been happier when my love came in to keep me warm and snuggled all night. Saturday I debated whether I felt like fighting or not but since I didn't have a tabard with me, I decided not to fight. Instead I pulled my corset on and helped my man down to the field. My corset is too big though. Since I lost almost 40 lbs in the past year since I got it, the back comes together completely and it's still not so tight that I can't be squeezed tighter together. It's supposed to be 3-4 inches apart in the back and it was last year. I'm going to try to alter it and see what I might get. I'll take about 5 inches off of it so that I have that tight squeeze and the extra room. I'm still trying to drop about 25-30 lbs so we'll see. Any way, after the fighting, dan and I browsed the fair and I surprised myself by not buying anything at all, though Nightshade had leather arms that were kind of tempting. I'm tired of getting my sword arm wailed upon. The lost boys see the Hvd colors and target them even if I am the smallest on the field! *grumbles* All well. Matteo and Eric the Naked got knighted and it was pretty cool to see. Matteo has a great singing voice.. even if he did break down to tears half way through. He is leaving to join the Peace Corps so it was really emotional for a lot of people. He better be back. He's a good guy. After Court, the drinks came out. I had a woodchuck then half of dan's rum and coke. He had mixed a bottle of Cherry Rum and Pepsi together. It was really good but you could drink a lot before feeling it, then it hit you like a ton of bricks. He drank too much and ended up being sick so I took care of him even though I was pretty drunk at that stage. I was rewarded for my efforts in the morning with a very happy man and a lot of cuddles and lovings. We slept in late and when we did get up, we packed up everything and hung out for a while until the rain came down really hard then we went home. I have work this week mon-thursday. Friday, Katie is coming up and we are going to lunch, horseback riding, then I have graduation practice and a picnic dinner. Saturday is Graduation then dinner with the family and friends. Sunday, dan and i are going to the movies and maybe I'll spend more time with him afterward. Monday no work and flea market frenzy! Yay! I can't wait!

  • Wow.. haven't been to xanga in I don't know how long. I think October? Something like that. I mostly use lj and facebook now. I think I'll update this with some of the more important things going on in my life at the moment.
School= I'm graduating in less then a month! I almost can't believe it though I am completely ready to be done. I will have my BS in Animal Behavior from Delaware Valley College. I'm thinking of either going back for my teaching certificate or applying for the police academy. I want to go into the canine division if I do end up doing the police. At the moment however, I'm pretty much just chilling out, finishing classes up, and getting ready for A-day. It's a two day state fair that our college holds every year (you should come! 4/26-27!). Normally I show a colt or a filly, this year I'm showing a mare (East Wind) and a llama (Lenape aka Linny). It'll be fun. My parents are coming up to watch one day or the other and we are going out to lunch and filling out loan information. Ugh.. so much crud to do and so little time to do it.
Work = Not working at the moment. I had a job at Harleysville Veterinary Clinic but got laid off with two other girls because they couldn't afford to keep us (lame excuse, huh?). Kinda pissed me off about that but I'm enjoying having a couple weeks of just relaxing and going to classes before I get tossed into the real world. I've put my application in at several vet offices, two pet store chains, and some other random places just to cover my bases. We'll see. When it comes down to it, I'll get something, even if it's just a temp position. I'm not too worried, I've got a pretty good savings amount at the moment.
Hobbies= Still reenacting. I am going under the persona of Elswyth of the Kingdom of Wessex from around the beginning of the 11th century. Anglo-saxon basically.  I've learned how to improve my archery skills, make leather armor, use the drop spindle to make yarn, and a whole bunch of other things that I've picked up here and there. I've made all of my clothes and my cloak and I've got a bunch of newbies that I'm training up at the moment. It's still a ton of fun and I can't wait for May 2nd for the next event.
Love= I'm still with Daniel. We actually just celebrated our one year together on Sunday. I gave him a Zippo lighter with his initials engraved into it and since he loves dragons and brandy, I couldn't resist getting him a flask with a dragon on it. He loved both gifts and gave me that smile that tells me he loves me just as much. I don't know how to explain it. It gives me butterflies in my stomach every time still. In return, he gave me a white gold necklace with a diamond stone on it. It's the first stone for a journey necklace. Every year we are together, he gets to add a stone to it. It's absolutely gorgeous and so precious, made even more so by the fact that he gave it to me. All well, enough mushy talk, no one wants to hear it. Oh, but his family is wonderful too! Lol.
Pets!= In my world, it's enough for it's own category! Lol. Lets see..  a lot has changed in the past year or two. I am still breeding rats with the Ratpack Rattery though I took a break off from the breeding part for a while. At the moment, I have two males, Buttspot and Spencer, and one female, Ceridwen. Umm.. I still have my oscar fish, Bubba. He is almost 10 inches long now and is joined in the tank by a snail and a pleco who is about 12 inches long. Big fishes in a 45 gallon tank. I'm thinking about selling them off though and keeping the tank. Dan has a bearded dragon who is eventually going to need a bigger enclosure and the 45 would work great. We'll see. I also have my two snakes who are currently for sale on the rtpk website. I have a Crested Gecko without a tail named Baby. He is a sweet boy and the most adorable lizard on the face of the planet! In addition, I have Suzy, Kit, and Boo still, my three cats. Kit is getting up there though, he's got to be around 12-13 years now. Suzy is 4, I think. And Boo, my little baby girl, is just over a year old now. She's still a little wild monster some times but she has settled down a lot recently since being spayed. Hmm.. did I forget anyone? Oh yeah, duh.. Fleas! My mom's dog who loves me the mostest! lol, maybe not. But he is always happy to see me. I miss him, he is at my mom's house while I'm on campus. Then they still have the two stupid bunnies.. I hate rabbits. grumble.. And that is it for pets! lol.
Family stuff = My brother got married to Kristen. My mom and dad are still in langhorne for the moment but spend their summers and winter break in Tennessee so I have the house to myself. My grandfather is still doing well and he and my aunt still live in the same house. My brother and kristen, my sister and her family all moved down to tennessee. They all wish  I would follow but I'd much rather stay in the Doylestown/Hatfield/harleysville area. It's just like langhorne was 15 years ago. Still partially farm, still suburb. I like it here and I've got my lover and hvd and my friends in the area. Too much to leave behind. As soon as I have a good job and have some money saved up, Dan and I are getting an apartment together so I'm out of my parent's house. We want to live together before we decide to further the relationship with any talk of weddings.  I don't think there is anything else going on at the moment.
I think that is about it. Other then the fact that I've lost almost 30lbs in the past year and they think that I'm borderline diabetic so I have to lose at least another 20lbs (which I want to do anyway for the police academy). Dan wants me to lose it too but he is trying too so we are working together on it. I've been exercising by running with the llamas and horses and taking walks almost everyday down to the barns and grooming the animals. Tonight, Katie and I are going to go for a run since it's so nice out and we had ice cream at dinner. I feel a lot healthier then I did a year ago at this time and I know I look better (getting flirted with and fitting clothes I haven't fit right in about 4 years is a good deal!). I'm having a grand ball with the last few weeks of my college existence and I'm living it to the fullest. If anyone feels like chatting, catching up on stuff, I'm still at the same screen name, phone number, and house. Lol.

  • So I haven't post in this thing for like ever. Lol. I've basically switched over to using my livejournal most of the time. So a quick summary of my life from then to now.
Pennsic- it was amazing, lots of fun, a great tan, lots of new things to be learned and spending 2 weeks with dan was wonderful.
Summer- eh, spent most of it working if not at the school painting then at petco.
School- Classes aren't too bad but things are starting to pile up now.
Work- I'm working about 30 hours a week which is starting to be too much now I've got to do all the class stuff too. Dan- is amazing. I've not been this happy in such a long time. He is so sweet and charming and he doesn't mind driving to come see me or take me out on dates. Its hardly ever the same thing twice with him. He loves trying new things and going new places which is what we did today. We went to a place called Madam Butterfly's. It's a great Japanese place in Doylestown. His family is wonderful and they seem to like me, or so I've been told. My family thinks he is great and is a good match for me. We share a tent when we go to events for HVD and I spend quite a bit of time at his house.
HVD- activities are good, my armor is almost completely done and i've fought light a few times now. being with dan there is great too. lol.. though i already mentioned that. Next event is ours at the legion hall. It'll be fun.

Lets see.. what else is going on.. not much I guess. Read the live journal if you want specifics.

  • I hate allergies. Just thought I'd let everyone know that here and now. I have not a clue as to what set me off but on my way home from work, my nose started getting very itchy, my eyes watering and itching, my throat sore, lungs hurting and breathing sucked. It normally only happens when I'm interacting a lot with guinea pigs so I dunno. My lungs still hurt and my eyes are still all itchy even after showering and taking claritin.  Anyway. 8 days until Pennsic! Can't wait! But apparently I surprise people. Its fun. They don't think that it's possible for me to do something and then I do it and everyone goes into shock. Its really rather amusing to watch. I should do it more often. Its good to keep people on their toes.

  • Haven't posted in a while. I guess I could blame it on being busy. Between working both jobs and hanging out with Dan, I haven't had much time at home or by myself. I've been working on average about 66 hours a week. I did the math, I drive about 450 miles a week. Thats insane! Sheshk. All well. I'm trying to get enough money up to go to pennsic I'm still not doing so good in the money department. It seems that no matter how much I get, I need more for my bills and all. It's such a pain. Most of my money is going to gas and keeping my house up. I'm home alone so I'm in charge of taking care of all the animals and all. And there is no food in this house.. sigh.. I need milk and bread at least. I've got all the cereal I could eat, but no milk so its like eh. Then I've got peanut butter and jelly, tuna, and some other sandwich stuff, but no bread. But I never really have the time to go food shopping. I've been working from 7-3:30 at Neshaminy then I have an hour to drive up to Petco to work from 4:30-9:30. So by the time I get out, it's about 10:15 by the time I get home. Then its shower time, feeding the animals, litterbox duty, and going to bed to start over again the next day. Thats usually mon-fri except Tuesday and Friday. Then I just have to do my neshaminy job. But Friday I leave straight from the Neshaminy job up to Dan's house and spend the weekend working at Petco and spending the evenings with him. Its a lot of fun being with him. He is very sweet and charming and spoils the hell out of me. He loves me too. We've been together since May.  He's working on getting a new car since the transmission went in his. He's trying to get a Voltswagon Rabbit. Its a cute car. We are sharing a tent for the 2 weeks of Pennsic. If anything will test the relationship, that will be it. Well I've got to get back to working on everything. 10 days until Pennsic! I can't wait!
